These corporations were developed by Don and Mary Dockerty, who are actively involved in the operations of Woodland Terrace. Don Dockerty, BS, MS, CPA, and Mary Dockerty RN, MS, ANP, bring more than 35 years of experience in the health care field with more than 25 years of those being in the care of the maturing population. This expertise is being used in developing the latest in regards to the needs of this age group including those with memory disorders. Their focus is to provide a financially affordable, Christian service to the senior population who would like a choice in housing with provisions made to promote well-being, dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
taff for Woodland Terrace varies depending on the area where the service is being provided. Each residence has dietary, housekeeping, activity staff as well as resident care assistants.
ur staff also includes 3 Michigan Licensed Nurses with one being an Adult Nurse Practitioner. These 3 nurses provide on-call coverage 24 hours a day -- 7 days per week. Monday through Friday, during the daytime hours, there is a Licensed Nurse on the premises.
ll of the resident care assistants, providing direct care to the residents, are trained to assist with activities of daily living, American Red Cross CPR and First Aid. A Licensed Nurse provides the training for each resident care assistant.
ed Bud Court, the Independent Living Apartments, has 24 hour coverage with a minimum of 1 person per shift. This person carries a pager which is connected to the security system in the apartments so that immediate emergency assistance may be given.
ogwood and Lilac Courts, the Assisted Living Courts, have a resident to staff ratio 10 to 1 during the waking hours and 20 to 1 during sleeping hours. In addition to these resident care assistants, there is also dietary, activity, and housekeeping staff.
agnolia Court, the Special Needs Unit, has a ratio of 5 to 1 during the waking hours and 10 to 1 during the sleeping hours.
