oodland Terrace, a Christian Senior Living Residence, is located on twelve acres of dunes and woods in the pleasant rural community of Bridgman, Michigan, along the shores of Lake Michigan. Woodland Terrace, as a Senior Living Residence, provides Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Special Needs Residences. These residences were all designed with the idea of maintaining a home-like environment in a community setting. To avoid the difficulties associated with elevators, all of our residences are located on the ground floor.
y having these separate residences, Woodland Terrace is providing for seniors a continuum of care. This continuum of care begins with our Independent Living Apartments -- Red Bud Court. These are one bedroom apartments with a kitchenette. Services provided include three meals per day, housekeeping, laundry, on- and off site activities, and transportation. ur next level in our continuum of care includes our Assisted Living Suites -- Dogwood and Lilac Courts. These assisted living residences provide the same services as Red Bud Court, but also provide assistance with activities of daily life. Because of the increased level of care for these residents, a higher staff to resident ration is maintained. Each of these residences has several cozy congregating areas that allow the seniors to socialize in small groups or larger areas for seniors to share in activities on a more grand scale. ur highest level of care includes our Special Needs Suites -- Magnolia Court. This is our Assisted Living Residence that provides care for those with mild to moderate dementia or those with heavier physical care needs. Magnolia Court is arranged similarly to Dogwood and Lilac Courts, but the staff ratio is higher to allow for the optimal care of those with more needs. esidents needing 24 hour "on-site" licensed nursing personnel should seek the facilities of a skilled nursing home. However, there are 2 nurses and 1 nurse practitioner on the staff which provide 24 hour nursing consultation services.

ur Grounds ... the artistically landscaped grounds add much to the aesthetic environment. From flower gardens to rose gardens to the lush green grass one can feel all the senses being stimulated-the aroma of the roses, the singing of the birds, the sight of the flowers, the smell of fresh mown grass.
he center of the Residence Courts features a lovely pond stocked with fish. The pond is complete with a three-tiered waterfall and lighted fountain providing a wonderfully relaxing setting. Walking sidewalks, with conveniently located benches, surround this area giving all residents an opportunity to maintain physical skills while enjoying the beauty and sounds of nature.
bridge located behind Red Bud Court crosses the creek to a more wild area which within the next year will be developed into more walking trails. This will bring one even closer to nature.
